About Us
Scoobies for Boobies (SFB) volunteer team was created in 2008 by a group of like-minded, Subaru-loving women to promote awareness in the community and to raise donations to help fund research for a cure. The volunteer team name joins the ladies' two passions: community volunteering and cars, where Scoobies has long been an enthusiast synonym for the Subaru brand as the namesake rhymes with Scooby (from Scooby Doo).
Originally, donations raised through 2008-2010 team events were given to the American Cancer Society’s (ACS) “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.” Since in 2011, the Scoobies for Boobies volunteer team has donated money raised to the Keep-A-Breast Foundation (KAB). KAB’s mission is to help eradicate breast cancer by exposing young people to the methods of prevention, early detection and support. Through art events, educational programs and fundraising efforts, they seek to increase breast cancer awareness among youth people so they are better equipped to make choices and develop habits that will benefit their long-term health and well-being.
